Liepāja residents take the PADI Open Water Diver course
Open Water Diver is your first basic level certification accompanied by a professional PADI diving instructor. "Open Water Diver" courses are a training program for scuba divers, which consists of theoretical and practical diving lessons.
- Diving theory, a total of 90 questions
- Liepāja residents dive in wetsuits in a quarry near Liepāja, there is good clarity and 18C degree water.
- The group usually has one instructor and 4 young divers
- During the training, the diver learns to constantly assemble equipment, safety techniques and performs 26 different exercises.
How the Open Water Diver training works
Training theory in an easy-to-understand format, in a classroom on a blackboard or in the form of a video film on physics, physiology, the environment and diving equipment;
Five practical lessons with an instructor in the water;
Upon completion of the course and passing the exams, an "Open Water Diver" certificate is issued.
