Tec Diver Certificate and Technical Diver
Technical diving means that the skills used exceed the limits of recreational diving. With the TEC DIVER certificate, it is possible to explore places that no one has ever seen because people have had limited access. Tec Diver diving is not for everyone, but it attracts experienced divers who want to go beyond their current limits and are willing to accept the added risks, training, investment and commitment it requires. If you find it suitable, then PADI Tec Diver courses are your ticket to new adventures in the underwater world.
What is technical diving?
Technical scuba diving includes more than just recreational diving restrictions and includes one or more of the following:
- Diving deeper than 40 meters
- Decompression of the required stage
- Diving in a surface environment exceeding 40 linear meters / 130 linear surface feet
- Accelerated decompression and / or use of variable gas mixtures during diving
- Use of technical diving equipment and technologies
In technical diving areas, open surfaces are often not available in an emergency, so TEC Diver uses special procedures, equipment and training (procedure NOTOX) to manage potential risks and threats. Based on widely available scuba diving technology, technical diving has significantly improved the safety of divers and has facilitated the development and availability of diving sports.
