A Russian submarine was found and filmed off the coast of Sweden

Off the coast of Sweden, organization Ocean X Teamby going on a research assignment with Ancylus the ship discovered an interesting underwater object. July 2015 with side view sonar and other devices, an unusually shaped submarine without visible signs of damage was found. Using submarine controlled robot Ocean Modules V8 Sii ROV, an underwater object was inspected, as well as a submarine on the ground was filmed, revealing an inscription consisting of Slavic characters.

The sunken submarine may have been lying on the seabed for about 100 years and is still in good condition due to the cold waters of the Baltic Sea.

An underwater submarine of Russian origin with inscriptions in Cyrillic was found underwater, according to information from Swedish underwater treasure hunters.  “Ocean X-team" Homepage. As usual in such cases, the exact location of the submarine wreck is not detected, but it is approximately 1.5 nautical miles or 2.78 km from the Swedish coast.

Treasure hunters point out that the found submarine has no signs of external damage, all its hatches are closed. "Therefore, we are convinced that the submarine crew did not escape before the ship sank," the submarine said in a statement.

After researching the Ocean X-team video, the Swedish Navy has confirmed that it is a submarine of Russian origin.
