May 21, 2o11.g. Riga, NDĢ pool, on the corner of Tērbatas and Bruņinieku streets
- 13.oo - 13.3o - Arrival of organizers in NDG
- 13.3o - 15.oo - setting up a tent in the NDG yard, arranging the venue (tables, benches, audio)
- 15.oo - 15.30 - Installation works in the pool - arranging checkers at the bottom of the pool, pasting card numbers, etc.
- 15.3o - 16.oo - Arrival of participants, parking in the NDG yard, registration, bringing equipment into the pool through the pool yard door.
Participants park their cars in the territory of the NDĖ yard (free of charge), without taking their equipment with them, go to the organizers' tent to register, receive their registration number and wristband. Then he goes back to his car, takes the equipment and hands it over to the organizers' representatives at the door of the pool yard, who then take it into the pool and place it next to the corresponding serial number pasted on the walls of the pool. You will also receive your equipment there afterwards. There will be four checkers tables in the registration tent, where knowledgeable checkers players will give advice to those who do not feel so knowledgeable about checkers. You will be able to play a game of checkers with the Latvian checkers champion. Don't be shy, learn ;) Next, the participants go to the dressing rooms.
If you need to leave the keys, wallet, other valuable things, you will be able to do so at the registration tent, handing it over to the organizers against the relevant registration number.
- 16.oo - 19.oo - Pool event - changing rooms in the wardrobes, assembling equipment by the pool, meeting with common instructions, going to the pool, adjusting the buoyancy, playing checkers. After that, joint photography, removal of equipment and inventory from the pool. Showers, changing rooms.
We go to the changing rooms, then take a shower, climb up to the pool, find our serial number, which is glued to the walls (if anything, ask me), put our equipment together. Then there will be a small briefing on what and how to do next, your questions, comments. Then we go to the pool, 10-15 minutes, adjust our buoyancy, check the inventory. When it's all ok, we gather in the pool in pairs at our table and wait for everyone else to do the same. One of your pairs will then be presented with a set of checkers. At this point, it can be said that the event has begun. After the team, we all dive together, put the dice. And we are waiting. !!! We are not playing yet !!!
When everyone has rolled the dice, a common signal is given and we start playing. Each participant must play one checkers. You can play this one game for 3 minutes, you can play for half an hour, the main thing - you have to play it to the end, either until someone wins, or you agree on a draw.
!!! Important!!! You must not jump out of the water during the game !!!
If you do, your couple will be disqualified. And the total number of participants in the record is reduced. When you have played one game, we read our dice back into the bag, leave the checkers table there even at the bottom of the pool, jump out of the water (without waiting for the others) and slowly, along the edge, without swimming over the checkers, swim to the edge of the pool and climb outside. in the number zone and wait for the rest until everyone stops playing.
Applause and applause that we have done it. Then there are the overall pictures (this is important for reporting to Guinea) and it can be said that the event has been successfully overcome.
Then we go to the showers, changing rooms, and at the top right inside the back of the pool pick up our equipment until we have put back the street shoes (the equipment will be in your pool area, even where you put it after playing).
Going to our car, we still walk along the organizers' tent and announce the winner of the pair (we have to show it in the reports, if you don't, the pair will be included in the draw).
- 19.oo - The official part of the event is over.
During the event, there will be a school café (for fans to drink coffee), there will be a doctor on duty on the second floor of the complex. The complex will have its own wardrobe and attendant, please respect, honor and listen.
Participants are responsible for assembling their own equipment, the organizers do not provide anything extra. Tip - No matter how confident you feel about your buoyancy, it will be more comfortable to play checkers if you are provided with 2 or even 4 kg more lead than you normally use. This is from experience in a rehearsal.
Entrance and pool entrance for participants and fans with pool slippers or boot swabs. If you forget, go inside barefoot.
The total planned number of participants of the event is ~ 100, viewers ~ 100, there will also be TV representatives for filming news stories, Qfilm operators for filming material for the joint film.
If there is a good time, the afterparty of the event is planned for me in Mārupe, with my baskets, if you are interested in participating, you will give me a message, I will tell you where and how to go.
As for the original Guinness World Record confirmation certificates - if you want to receive them when the record is confirmed (it can take up to 4 months), you must provide your home address, telephone number, e-mail address at the time of registration. The Guinness representatives will individually send you their offer and instructions on how to obtain this original Guinness certificate. As far as I realized, it will cost 10, - pounds plus postage.
Well, let's meet on May 21 in the pool of Natalija Draudziņa Gymnasium.
