Jellyfish have appeared on the sea shore on the Ventspils side, but the holidaymakers are not prevented from bathing, the holidaymakers told BNS. Jellyfish about ten centimeters in diameter have been spotted on the Ventspils Blue Flag beach.
Jellyfish are often washed ashore on the beach of Liepaja, but usually in August, when their life cycle ends. This year, jellyfish have not been seen in Liepaja yet.
Jellyfish beaches in the Baltic Sea are not poisonous to visitors and therefore not dangerous. Only people with allergies should be careful.
