Some tips to help prevent the regulator from "freeflow" in cold waters

  1. Do not use the respirator on the surface of the water;
  2. Set the regulator's second stage breathing resistance to the minimum;
  3. Expose all metal parts of the breathing tube to water, remove the hose guards;
  4. Breathe slowly and calmly;
  5. Slowly inflate the BCD.
