Latvian divers gather in Jurmala

On June 3 of this year pl. 11:00, divers from all over Latvia will gather in the former Dolomite Quarry Reservoir, Jūrmala, to jointly open the diving season and clean the swimming pool as usual.

Diving is popular in Latvia, every year several thousand residents of the Republic of Latvia train to obtain the "Open Water" diver certificate.

According to Latvian diver instructor Valters Preimanis:

"Diving together is a tradition that has been going on for decades. It is expected that more than 50 divers and their friends and family members will take part in the event.

The Dolomite Quarry Reservoir, popular among divers, is a place where diving instructors have trained several thousand divers from all over Latvia.

The Dolomite Quarry Reservoir has many surprises for young divers, including the 3.5-meter-long white shark "Anton" and a real underwater plentosaurus called Nessia, who sometimes raises his head from the depths of the reservoir. "

During the event, as usual, journalists and members of the press will be able to get acquainted with the equipment of divers, which provides a safe view of the underwater world, as well as immerse yourself under the guidance of an instructor. Those interested will also be able to apply for the training of divers.
