Self-Reliant Diver – Courses for those who rely on themselves

Have you ever wondered what you would do if you were suddenly alone underwater? Even if you usually dive with a partner (buddy system), situations arise in which self-reliance and the ability to act independently are not a luxury, but a necessity.

Self-Reliant Diver the course is not for recluses, but for responsible diverswho want to take their safety to the next level. This training prepares you for situations where your partner is unavailable or unable to help, making you a more valuable and safer team member on any expedition.

What will you learn in this course?

This course focuses on two main whales: equipment backup and psychological readinessDuring the course we will cover:

  • Self-help skills: How to solve problems without the help of others.

  • Air planning: Precise calculations to ensure sufficient reserve for each dive (SAC indicators).

  • Equipment redundancy: Working with an independent backup air source (e.g. Pony bottle), double masks and computers.

  • Action in emergency situations: What to do if the controller freezes or a navigation error occurs.

Why choose this certificate?

“The best partner underwater is someone who can take care of themselves.”

  1. For underwater photographers and videographers: Often, when searching for the perfect shot, attention is diverted from your partner. These skills allow you to focus on your work safely.

  2. For aspiring Divemasters: Self-confidence is the foundation of any professional.

  3. For travelers: If you dive with foreign "holiday companions", you will have peace of mind knowing that your safety is in your own hands.
