Description

Cressi T10Sc Cromo + Master technical description and specification for a high-end breathing regulator set, specially configured and certified for diving in cold waters (including the Baltic Sea and local lakes, where the temperature at depth often does not even reach +4°C).

This diving REGULATOR set provides maximum safety, breathing comfort and reliability under intensive operating conditions.

❄️ Baltic Winter (+2°C) Regulator Set Technical Description

In the Baltic waters, the main challenges are low visibility, rapid temperature changes (thermoclines) and a high risk of regulator freezing (free-flow). This system is equipped with Cressi T10-SC (Seal Chamber) the first stage, which completely isolates the internal mechanisms from the environment, preventing ice formation and protecting against sand or mud.

1. First stage: Cressi T10Sc Cromo (Cold Water Certified)

The T10Sc is a hyper-balanced diaphragm-type first stage finished in an elegant, scratch-resistant chrome finish. SC (Sealed Chamber) or isolated chamber is the biggest advantage of this model.

  • Construction: Hyper-balanced membrane (ensures easy breathing regardless of depth and pressure in the cylinder).

  • Cold water protection: Fully insulated dry chamber (SC). No water comes into contact with the main spring and membrane, which guarantees protection against freezing at temperatures down to +2°C and below.

  • Ports: 2 high pressure (HP) 7/16″ ports and 4 low pressure (LP) 3/8″ ports. The LP ports are located on a rotating head, ensuring perfect hose routing in both recreational and technical configurations.

  • Pressure control: Special additional pressure increase (hyper-balancing) at low cylinder pressure to ensure maximum airflow even at the end of the dive.

2. Main second stage: Cressi Master Regulator

Pneumatically balanced second stage designed to provide minimal breathing resistance at any depth.

  • Operating principle: Pneumatically balanced valve.

  • Regulation: Equipped with two mechanisms:

    • Inhalation resistance button: The diver can manually adjust the breathing effort depending on the current or depth.

    • Venturi effect switch (Dive/Pre-Dive): Prevents spontaneous air leakage (free-flow) while you are on the surface or jumping into the water.

  • Heat exchange system: Built-in patented heat exchanger that absorbs the relative heat of the surrounding water and reduces the cold caused by the expansion of compressed air.

3. Spare second stage (Octopus): Cressi Compact Pro

Special Pro a version certified for cold waters and adapted for safe operation in extreme conditions.

  • Design: Extremely compact, lightweight and made of high-strength technopolymers that dissipate cold well.

  • Cold water safety: Equipped with a Teflon coating on the internal valve mechanism, which prevents ice crystals from sticking.

  • Venturi switch: Effectively prevents free flow when the octopus is not in use.

  • Visibility: Bright yellow body and cap for easy identification in emergency situations in the Baltic Sea.

4. Instrument console: Mini SPG Vale 300 C Console

Compact, durable and accurate single instrument (manometer) console designed to operate at pressures up to 300 bar.

  • Body: Impact-resistant rubber shell with integrated loop for attachment to BCD.

  • Dial: High contrast, luminescent (glows in the dark), which is critically important in low visibility conditions in the Baltic waters.

  • Security: Built-in pressure relief valve at the back.

5. Hoses and Accessories available

  • Standard Inflation Hose: High quality, flexible low pressure (LP) hose designed to connect to a BCD (buoyancy compensator) or drysuit valve. Remains flexible even at temperatures of +2°C.

  • Cressi 360 Regulator Bag: Premium case for storing and transporting the entire set. It protects the regulator from shock, dust and UV rays between dives.

📊 Technical Data Summary (Specification)

First-degree type Hyper-balanced membrane with dry chamber (SC)
Material Chrome-plated brass, techno-polymers, stainless steel
Working pressure DIN version up to 300 bar / Yoke up to 232 bar
Average pressure (LP) $9.8 \text{ to } 10 \text{ bar}$
Airflow volume $> 4500 \text{ l/min}$
Weight (total) Approximately $1.3 – 1.5 \text{ kg}$ (depending on the length of the hoses)

💡 Why is this configuration ideal for the Baltic waters?

  1. Double Freeze-Safe system: The T10Sc insulated dry chamber in combination with the Master and Compact Pro heat exchangers and Teflon coatings guarantees that the regulator will not freeze even under intense breathing stress.

  2. Dry suit readiness: Thanks to the rotating first stage, it is very easy and convenient to place an additional LP hose for a drysuit, which is a must-have for winter diving in the Baltics.

  3. Mechanical strength: The Baltic Sea contains a lot of sand and particles. The fully sealed first stage prevents these abrasive materials from entering the mechanism, extending service intervals and the life of the regulator.
