The “Vesala Jūra” association invites you to the Underwater Diving Festival on August 15, 16 and 17, 2025! Participation and tent space are free.
For the fifth year in a row, the exciting Underwater diving festival, this time gathering diving enthusiasts in the picturesque Lapmežciems. As part of the festival, divers from the “Vesala Jūra” association invite everyone interested to explore the secrets of the underwater world and participate in various activities.
In the festival program:
- Seminar on underwater diving opportunities: Learn more about diving techniques, safety, and the exciting places you can visit underwater.
- Presentation about historical wrecks in the Gulf of Riga: Explore the underwater history of the Gulf of Riga and its mysterious shipwrecks.
- Discussion on marine ghost nets: Learn why ghost nets are dangerous to the marine environment and how they can be removed from the sea.
- “Diving against debris” campaign: Participate in the sea cleanup campaign and receive an international PADI certificate!
- Boat trips at sea: Embark on an exciting adventure and dive into the world of nearby wooden wrecks.
- Opportunity to try out diving equipment in a portable pool: Try diving in a safe environment under the supervision of instructors.
The following are invited to participate in the festival:
- Underwater diving club “Divings” PADI Instructors and Divemasters
- Underwater archaeologists of the National Cultural Heritage Administration
- Representatives of the Latvian Nature Foundation
Come and explore the magic of the underwater world! Diving equipment rental and boat trips available. One-day donation from 50 Eur (Equipment rental, 200 BAR cylinder, instructor work, transportation to the venue).
