Description
5mm neoprene dry suit with BDM back zip.
The advantages of neoprene drysuits compared to the most popular trilaminate drysuits are:
-easy (and therefore cheap) repair and maintenance
-high thermal insulation, so for most water temperatures it will be enough without a suit or just a thin one (so again cheaper!)
-flexibility (neoprene is stretchy, so it can be a little tighter on the body, allowing for movement)…
-price (about 30 to 40% cheaper than trilaminate)
The disadvantages are:
– Heavier weight
-Takes longer to dry
– Back zip (you need a friend unless you know how to zip yourself…there are actually ways)
-Compression at depth and subsequent changes in buoyancy
– Less flexible for those who dive in both very cold and warm water and want to stay dry as you can't wear a heavy undersuit and can get a little hot in warmer waters
