The pros and cons of using a full face mask
The experience described here is largely based on the Interspiro Divator MKII and other similar type masks. Do not spit! A huge benefit of a higher-end mask like the Divator MKII is the absence of fogging. These masks use an airflow design that directs cool air inside the mask glass with each inhalation, thus not allowing enough time for the warm face to warm up the air and cause condensation to form (this is explained in more detail during the Full Face Mask tutorial). Large field of view. Since the mask frame is further away from the eyes/nose, it provides a larger lens and a larger visual angle.
Reduced jaw fatigue. Since the mask and regulator are essentially one unit, when properly attached, there is now no need to expend energy trying to hold the regulator in your mouth.

Talk to the diver with the Divator MKII full face mask

We communicate by talking. Underwater communication systems allow divers to communicate with each other. OTS is a device called a 'buddy phone', which is a receiver and microphone attached to the mask and works with push-to-talk (Push To Talk) operation. These communicators require line-of-sight for the full experience and can sometimes be a little time-consuming, but when working, it can be a great tool when talking is more valuable than writing on a whiteboard or hand signals.
Breathing through both the nose and the mouth. This feature will seem strange at first to any experienced diver! The ability to inhale through the nose. This is beneficial for anyone involved in adaptive training/experience by offering more normal breathing activity, especially when combined with the elimination of a mouth-held regulator.
Safer. It is twofold. First, the regulator. Because it is secured in the mask, the diver is less likely to lose it or accidentally knock it off. And secondly, the mask itself. The strap that holds it in place isn't like a regular single mask strap, it's more like a spider web with five legs that holds the full face mask in place over the entire head. One strap under each ear, one strap above each ear and one strap centered on the top of the head. As each strap length can be individually adjusted, it also allows for personalization and placement.
