The ship was torpedoed by two torpedoes, one of which hit the center of the ship. The damaged vessel remained afloat, and the Tauroggen tied the Hochsee to the tow, but did not manage to reach port together. 4 sailors went missing during the explosion.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Kuga_SS_%E2%80%9CHochsee%E2%80%9D_nogrimsanas_vieta\"><\/span>The sinking site of the ship SS &quot;Hochsee&quot;.<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The ship sank 5 miles from the small town of P\u0101vilosta, at a depth of 24 meters. The vessel has a well-preserved bow that stands straight and aft, with a large rudder on deck. The ship&#039;s cargo is broken machinery.
