The main emphasis is placed on <strong>&quot;in situ&quot;<\/strong> (in its original location) the principle of preservation, which is determined by <strong>UNESCO 2001 Convention<\/strong> on the protection of underwater cultural heritage. Instead of using a conventional shovel, the dominant <strong>hydroejectors<\/strong> (water suctions) or air ejectors to gently expose artifacts from drifts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Bathymetry and side-scan sonars:<\/strong> Used for initial area scanning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Photogrammetry:<\/strong> Processing digital images to create accurate 3D models without physical contact with the object.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Trilateration:<\/strong> A classic underwater measurement method to determine the precise coordinates of artifacts relative to a baseline.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Obligatie_noteikumi_darbam_kulturvesturisku_objektu_tuvuma\"><\/span>Mandatory rules for working near cultural and historical sites<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Work on underwater cultural and historical sites is strictly regulated to prevent <strong>bioerosion<\/strong> and mechanical damage. This certificate is the first step from an amateur to a researcher who understands that underwater history should be protected, not spent as souvenirs.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure
