Aus dem kohlens\u00e4urehaltigen Grundwasser, das als Quellen in den Abgrund floss, als Calcit ausfiel und die Pflanzen verkalkten, entstand der Kalkstein-Tuff-H\u00f6hepunkt \u2013 Staburadze. Sein Kalkstein wurde immer gr\u00f6\u00dfer und alle 300 Jahre brach er unter seinem eigenen Gewicht, um erneut zu wachsen.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Plavinu_HES_udenskratuve_appludina_Staburagu\"><\/span>Das Wasserreservoir von Pl\u0101vi\u0146i HES \u00fcberschwemmt Staburaga<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Nach der Errichtung des Stausees P\u013cavi\u0146u HES im Jahr 1966 wurde Staburags \u00fcberflutet. Das verkalkte Wasser bedeckt die auf dem Felsen wachsenden Pflanzen und Moose mit Kalk. So entsteht der wachsende Kalkstein, aus dem st\u00e4ndig Wassertropfen sickern. Deshalb wird Staburag auch der \u201eweinende Felsen\u201c genannt, um ihn ranken sich viele Volkslegenden und Sagen. Staburag erlebte mehrere Erdrutsche. Im Jahr 1861 brach ein gro\u00dfer Teil von Staburag ab und st\u00fcrzte in die Daugava. Im Jahr 1916 st\u00fcrzte das Staburaga-Kap selbst ein. Seine Ruinen liegen zu seinen F\u00fc\u00dfen. Zu dieser Zeit spazierten der Schriftsteller Vladimirs Kaijaks und ein Freund auf dem Gipfel des Staburaga. Meir\u0101ns<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Im Jahr 1998 tauchten Taucher unter der Leitung des Unterwasserarch\u00e4ologen Voldemar Rains bis zu einer Tiefe von 27 m zum Fu\u00df des Staburaga und trotz schlechter Sicht gelang es ihnen, einen Teil des Staburaga-Felsens zu filmen. Die Wirbels\u00e4ule war mit Schlamm und Muscheln bedeckt.
